Structure One Real Work Example As Interview Evidence

Part of the Become Interview Ready pathway.

Know

Interviews are decided by evidence, not adjectives. One well-structured real example is worth more than a list of qualities.

See

• Situation: what was happening and why it mattered

• Task: what you specifically were responsible for

• Action: the decisions you made, not just the activity

• Result: what changed, stated plainly and honestly

Do

Choose one piece of work from the last two years that you are genuinely proud of and write two sentences for each of the four parts.

Apply

Read it aloud once and cut anything that is not your own contribution or cannot be supported if questioned.

Prove

My example: Situation _____ / Task _____ / Action _____ / Result _____.
